We know it’s a little late but we don’t seen any harm with us reposting our response to the announced changes to the statutory guidance for careers education here. They were released towards the end of the 2020-21 where they may have been missed by some. There isn’t anything major in here and with the changes at the DfE we may see further changes in the future. The American philosopher Ralph Waldo Emerson once wrote: “life is a journey, not a destination”, this is unquestionably true and we should always remind our students of this. Too often they are forced to focus on their exam results as the perceived destination, which is quite ironic as for this year and possibly next ‘Destinations’ will matter more than exam results.
